In Poland the public route is free by statute. The Mental Health Protection Act says a contracted provider charges the person nothing for psychiatric care. The same Act builds the service around the mental health centre, which covers a defined area.
A centre must offer emergency, outpatient, day, inpatient and community care. Private fees are a separate matter, and no official scale for them was found. Poland also has a new law on the psychologist profession, Dz.U. 2026 poz.
187. It creates the professional self-government the 2001 act provided for.

Who is allowed to practise
Poland's position is unsettled, and the registry says so rather than smoothing it over. A chamber of psychologists exists in law, but implementation varies, so the surest public check on someone working inside a healthcare entity is the health ministry's register of providers.
Doctors and dentists are held separately by the chamber of physicians, which is where a psychiatrist's licence sits. For a psychologist or a psychotherapist working privately, neither register is a complete answer.
You can start from the health ministry's register of providers. The Act of 23 January 2026 on the profession of psychologist ties psycholog to entry on a register, in force from 19 May 2028. Its article 23 leaves psychotherapy to separate rules, so psychoterapeuta will not sit on that register.
