In Cyprus, the competent authority for registering psychologists is the Cyprus Council for Registration of Psychologists. Registered Psychologist is the title it confers, and the council is where a claim to that title can be checked rather than taken on trust.
For therapist titles outside psychology, this council's list is not the right check, and the answer will depend on the practitioner's own training and professional body. Verify with Cyprus Council for Registration of Psychologists (SEPs).
