Zoltan Bernath, MSc

Psychotherapist (Registered)

verified by TherapyRoute

Life is complex. Therapy doesn’t need to be. I am a UK-trained integrative psychotherapist with 15+ years’ experience, offering practical, psychologically grounded therapy in English for adults in Cyprus, including expats and professionals who value privacy and discretion.

About Me

My background is in psychology and psychotherapy, with further study in CBT. Over the years, working in different settings has reinforced my belief that therapy is not simply about applying methods, but about meeting each person in a real, thoughtful, and respectful way. Working through difficult periods in my own life has also shaped how I understand and value therapy.

Approach

Rather than using the same approach for everyone, I work with each person in a way that responds to their individual needs. I help people understand what they are going through, gain clarity, and find practical ways to cope and move forward. My work is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, humanistic, person-centred, Gestalt, and practical skills-based approaches where helpful. Some people come because they want practical support with anxiety, stress, burnout, or a difficult life transition. Others want a deeper space to understand trauma, grief, relationship patterns, self-esteem, or a sense of being stuck. I work at a pace that feels manageable, offering a safe, private, and supportive space where we can make sense of things step by step and find ways forward that are realistic for your life.
