“I am Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP accredited). I specialise in treating young people (13+) and adults using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a range of depression and anxiety disorders.”

About me

I have worked in mental health across various clinical settings since 2005, treating young people (13+) and adults with depression and anxiety disorders. In my practice, I treat individuals with a variety of difficulties such as depression, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (ocd), post trauma stress disorder (ptsd), work-related stress, low self-esteem and relationship issues.

Approach

Often you may believe that things will never get better or that you will always feel this way. It may be a relatively new problem, or a problem that you have had for years. At times you may feel overwhelmed and as though you are unable to cope. There may be days where you can function, however there may be some days where just getting out of bed in the mornings can be a struggle. Sometimes people feel too embarrassed to tell someone about these feelings. Good news, you have already taken the first step. That’s where Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help you to overcome your difficulties and to help you gain a different perspective. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental place to help you achieve your individual goals. I am an approachable person, and I will tailor the therapy according to your individual needs. I strongly believe that therapy can work alongside medication, however medication alone is not always the answer. Talking therapies such as CBT can be very effective in treating people exhibiting a wide range of difficulties. My primary aim is to help people with their problem (s) by delivering CBT in the first instance. Through the use of a wide range of techniques, CBT can help you to generally cope better. You will learn strategies that you will be able to use whenever you need to. Moreover, you may find them helpful long after therapy has ended. I offer secure online sessions via Zoom and in person.
