Denmark has 19 therapists listed on TherapyRoute.

The list includes psychotherapists, therapeutic counsellors and clinical psychologists.

Start with the cities. Each city page lists the practitioners who work there.

Denmark subsidises psychologist treatment through a national agreement. The regions' pay and tariff board makes it with the Danish Psychological Association. The agreement fixes the fees. Only a psychologist who has joined the agreement, and holds a ydernummer, can work under it.

The number of ydernummer places is set by negotiation. Reaching the scheme takes a referral from a person's own doctor. The region pays the fee in full for people aged eighteen to twenty-four. That applies where the referral is for depression or anxiety.

In Denmark the title to look for is the authorised psychologist. The Danish Patient Safety Authority has authorised psychologists and kept the authorisation register since 1 January 2026. You can check a psychologist on the Danish authorisation register. Since January 2026 authorisation in Denmark rests on the Danish psychology examination and no longer certifies practical training, which carries its own title, psykolog med praksisuddannelse.
