Qatar licenses its health practitioners through one national authority, the Department of Healthcare Professions at the Ministry of Public Health. Clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists all fall under it, so a single licensing question covers the titles a Qatari listing is most likely to carry. The registry records the department as the sole licensing authority in the state, which makes the licence itself the right thing to ask a practitioner about.

Yes. Confidentiality is the condition that makes the rest of therapy possible. A registered practitioner works inside an ethical code that requires them to keep what you say private.

Someone who belongs to a professional body is bound by that body's code as well. The limits are narrow. They commonly include a serious and immediate danger to you or to another person, and abuse of a child or of a vulnerable adult.
