Practitioners here are spread across a number of places rather than gathered in one. Each city below carries its own list. You can also filter for practitioners who work by video, wherever they are.

China prices treatment inside the medical system from published price items. The National Healthcare Security Administration issued a listing guide for psychiatric treatment in 2024. It separates psychological treatment, billed by the hour, from psychological consultation, billed by the visit.

The two cannot be charged at the same time. Provincial bureaus then set a single provincial price benchmark from that guide. Areas holding pricing authority move above or below the benchmark. Under article 68 of the Mental Health Law, the basic medical insurance fund pays a patient's medical costs.

Where it cannot, civil affairs departments give priority medical assistance.

China's clinical registration system is run by the Chinese Psychological Society rather than by government, and the registry records it as the standard clinical check in the country rather than as a state licence. It lists three registered grades, covering practitioners, assistants and supervisors. That distinction is worth holding onto: a listing here speaks to standing within the society's own scheme, not to a government authorisation, and it does not answer for a title held outside it.

You can search the CPS clinical and counselling psychology registration system. China's Mental Health Law bars a 心理咨询人员, a psychological counsellor, from psychological treatment and from diagnosing a mental disorder. It requires psychological treatment to be carried out inside a medical institution.
