Ms Noel Lai, M.Couns

Counselor

Verified

I offer warm, evidence-based counselling for adults, children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, stress, life changes, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, and emotional overwhelm. Together, we’ll create a safe, affirming space to understand what you are going through, build practical coping skills, and move forward in a way that feels authentic, meaningful, and true to you.

About Me

I'm passionate about creating a safe, empathetic space where people feel truly heard without judgment. My role is to offer a confidential space where you can speak openly, understand yourself more deeply, and feel more grounded in who you are. I work with individuals who struggle or feel overwhelmed in life or in relationships, helping them uncover unmet needs and underlying patterns, navigate complexity with clarity, and reconnect with what feels meaningful to them. Together, we build on strengths and create practical, positive changes that support a more purposeful, meaningful life. As a mother of two with experience supporting special needs children, I'm passionate about helping young people build emotional awareness, cope with stress, and relate to others in healthier ways. I also support LGBTQ+ individuals with identity-related stress and challenges, offering a space to be yourself and grow emotionally. I offer a free online 20-minute introductory consultation.

Approach

I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which helps you develop a kinder, more flexible relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, clarify what you deeply value, and take purposeful action. I also use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which supports you in recognising unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour, strengthening your coping skills, and responding to everyday challenges with greater ease.
