Hi, I’m so glad that you’re here. Recognizing that you need a bit of extra help is often the biggest hurdle. Your courage to seek the life that you deserve is the spark we’ll use to grow your inner light together.

About Me

I am a bilingual mental health therapist who works closely with individuals seeking to reconnect with their authentic selves, their partners, their families, and the world around them. Feelings of disconnection can often present as anxiety, overwhelm, confusion, anger, or depression, our work together focuses on helping you feel whole again. The guidance I offer is grounded in my professional training as an internationally qualified and registered counselor based in Shanghai, China, as well as in my personal experiences as a multicultural woman and parent who has navigated many life transitions myself.

Approach

I take a clinical approach that is client-centered, trauma and attachment-informed, with particular sensitivity to cultural identity, family of origin histories, and expatriate adjustment. My counseling style places strong emphasis on psychological safety, collaborative goal-setting, and developing practical tools that clients can apply in daily life. For couples counseling, I seek to help strengthen their sense of self in the relationship, empower healthy relational patterns, and build a stronger and meaningful partnership for the future. You’re warmly invited to explore a free 15-minute consultation, which you can book directly on the Therapy Route Booking calendar or on my website (www.lightboxcounseling.com). It is a commitment-free opportunity to ask questions before deciding on counseling. One important goal in the initial consultation to gain comfort in whether I am a good fit for your unique needs. Even if you decide to not move forward, I’ll be very happy to share referrals to other mental health professionals.
