Hi, I’m so glad that you’re here. Recognizing that you need a bit of extra help is often the biggest hurdle. Your courage to seek the life that you deserve is the spark we’ll use to grow and evolve. Change is within reach; let’s journey inward together.

About Me

I am a mental health counselor and work closely with those seeking to reach their authentic selves in their relationships with themselves, their families, and the world. Offered guidance comes from my professional training as an internationally qualified and registered counselor based in Shanghai China, as well as breadth of personal experiences as a multicultural woman and mother who has navigated many life transitions myself.

Approach

I take a counseling approach that is is client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, with particular sensitivity to cross-cultural identity, expatriate adjustment, and the psychological impact of high personal and professional expectations. My counseling style is open and approachable, placing strong emphasis on psychological safety, collaborative goal-setting, and developing practical tools that clients can apply in daily life. For couples counseling, I seek to help the partners strengthen their sense of self in the relationship, empower healthy relational patterns, and build a better partnership for the future. For those looking for help in parenting their children, my past experience in school counseling also supports a developmentally appropriate and friendly way in working with young people. You’re warmly invited to explore a free 15-minute consultation, which you can book directly on the Therapy Route Booking calendar or www.lightboxcounseling.com. It is a commitment-free opportunity to ask questions before deciding on counseling. One important goal in the initial consultation to gain comfort in whether I am a good fit for your unique needs. Even if you decide to not move forward, I’ll be very happy to share referrals to other mental health professionals.
