This page lists Anxiety Psychoanalysts in Berlin. 4 in all.
How anxiety is treated
Anxiety treatment is for fear and worry that persist and get in the way.
The treatments with the most evidence are based on cognitive-behavioural principles 1. That includes exposure therapy, where you face what you have been avoiding, a step at a time.
A prescriber may also consider medicine, depending on age and severity 2. Ask a practitioner how they work with anxiety.
What a psychoanalyst does, and how often the sessions run
Everyone on this page describes their work as psychoanalysis or psychoanalytic therapy. You talk as freely as you can, and the analyst listens for patterns. The analyst also listens for how those patterns appear between you both.
Analysis usually means several meetings a week, agreed between you and the analyst. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy uses the same ideas once or twice a week.
The work runs open-ended rather than to a fixed number of sessions.
