What a session costs
Across Spain, a session with a psychologist commonly costs 60 EUR to 90 EUR. Those are advertised prices.
Each practice in Spain sets its own therapy fees. If the fee is beyond your means, ask whether the psychologist works on a sliding scale based on income. Group sessions usually cost less than individual ones.
Who registers therapists in Spain
In Spain the check is colegiación, membership of the Colegio Oficial de Psicólogos for the region where the person works. Practising as a psicólogo requires it alongside the official qualification. The title psicólogo general sanitario authorises work on health problems, and especialista en psicología clínica is the clinical specialty.
The label terapeuta is not protected, and no register stands behind it. You can search the Consejo General de la Psicología de España directory.
