Mrs Tejpreet Johal

Therapist / Counselor (Qualifying)

Hi, I'm Preet. I’ve faced my share of adversities, including loss, death of a parent, trauma, and, infertility, which has given me a profound understanding of what it means to hit rock bottom and find the strength to rise again. I provide psychotherapy and counselling through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens.

About Me

My own journey through adversity has given me a profound understanding of finding strength. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore challenges like loss, trauma, or infertility. My psychotherapy and Counseling are rooted in an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens. This means we collaboratively make sense of your experiences, welcoming every part of your story. I aim to help you rise again, offering authentic support tailored to your unique path.

Approach

Having navigated loss, trauma and infertility, I focus on practical, compassionate pacing that honours where you are. Sessions in North Vancouver or online, in English, Hindi/Urdu or Punjabi, shift between gentle storytelling, somatic grounding and concrete coping plans. We notice triggers, cultural context and relationship patterns, use brief reflections and collaborative goal-setting, and check in between sessions when helpful. People seeking steady, respectful partnership through hard transitions often find this way of working supportive.
