Mr Bryn O'Reilly, MA

Clinical Psychologist

“I am an English-speaking clinical psychologist in private practice in Quarteira, in the Algarve, Portugal. I work with adults, couples, families and teenagers (13+), in person and online, and adapt my approach to the needs of each person, whether in short-term or long-term psychotherapy.”

About me

I offer therapy in English for adults, couples, families and teenagers (13+) at my practice in Quarteira, a short drive from Vilamoura, Loulé, Almancil, Albufeira and Faro, and online across Portugal and abroad. I have ten years of clinical experience, including work in hospital psychiatric units, and I work mainly from a psychodynamic perspective. I adapt our work to what you need, whether that is focused short-term support or deeper, longer-term psychotherapy, and we go at your pace. Sessions last 55 minutes, and the introductory call is free.

Approach

I work mainly from a psychodynamic perspective, which means I pay attention to how your early and ongoing relationships shape the way you function today. My style is genuine and straightforward. As a non-directive therapist, I generally follow your lead in what we discuss, and where something seems to warrant it, I invite you to be curious with me about what you are saying and how you are saying it. I see clients in person in Quarteira and online, in English.
