Ms Anwesha Bhattacharya

Counseling Psychologist

I am a trained Counselling Psychologist who follows an eclectic approach to therapy. I offer counselling and online therapy for adolescents experiencing anxiety, feelings of inadequacy, and self-care challenges. I provide confidential sessions and practical support to help build coping skills and emotional balance.

About Me

Hi! I am Anwesha, a Counselling Psychologist in India. I completed my Master’s degree in Psychological Counselling in Bangalore. During my studies and in my first year of practice, I trained under supervision as a therapist. Through both online and offline individual sessions, I have had the privilege of working with people from diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds. I continue to broaden my perspective as a therapist by considering the influence of culture, society, gender, identity, and systemic factors on individual experiences. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and that every individual brings unique strengths that can be explored and nurtured during sessions. Over the past five years, I have had the opportunity to connect with many wonderful people, learn about their journeys, and hear about their experiences with therapy and self-growth. I understand that opening up to a stranger can feel intimidating, and I hope to provide a safe and supportive space where you can be vulnerable, collaborate openly, and work towards your therapeutic goals together.

Approach

I take an eclectic approach to therapy, tailored to each client’s concerns, and currently offer online sessions only. My work draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, client-centred, humanistic, cognitive, behavioural, and imagery-based techniques.

Basic Information

Services

I provide online individual sessions for people who wish to work through concerns related to emotional regulation, stress, feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, and other related challenges. At present, I do not provide clinical diagnoses or conduct psychological assessments, though any future changes to this will be updated accordingly. Through my training, I have explored a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, client-centred, humanistic, Gestalt, behavioural, and cognitive behavioural therapies. I have also trained in alternative practices such as guided relaxation and guided imagery through Amrit Asmi, as well as Level 1 Hypnotherapy through ICHARS. My fee per session is ₹1200, and I offer a sliding scale in certain situations. Please refer to my online calendar for details regarding session timings, informed consent forms, and other information, or feel free to contact me via email.
