About Us
Approach
The approach used is integrative and based on research and science. Stuart is trained and certificated in the latest forms of integrative trauma treatment, combining psychological, neurological and psycho-educational methods with mind-body and somatic processing.
The process is patient and runs at the speed needed by the client, pushing a trauma survivor to "recover quickly" is actually dangerous and damaging, since each stage of recovery has to be "bedded in", and returned to when needed at the client's pace. Complex trauma can take many years, even decades to form, and can not be overcome in a handful of sessions.
PTSD (single event) can be handled more quickly with hypnosis and EMDR informed treatments, but complex PTSD is a completely different problem requiring a different approach.

Services
Specialist Trauma service for Complex PTSD, PTSD, Adverse Childhood Experiences, Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Grief & Loss and all other forms of severe Trauma.
Certified Advanced Specialist Stuart Provides the trauma support. Stuart has Post Qualification, Post Graduate certification only available to experienced practitioners with full licence and a minimum of a Masters Degree.
Trauma is a difficult issue to overcome, since it effects so many areas of life, including memory, relationships, behaviour, ability to feel emotions, motivation, mental health and physical health.
Integrative advanced trauma therapy is not just talking therapy, since talking therapy alone is not enough to make lasting changes. This is partly because memory is stored in both implicit and explicit forms, in different parts of the brain. Talking therapy alone does not reach both types. Mind-Body, somatic and neurology informed therapy enables a more complete solution by working through the different stages of recovery, using scientifically research and proven methods to move forward.
