Solasta Counselling

Group Practice

verified by TherapyRoute

We're a Calgary-based group practice of registered psychologists and therapists offering counselling, psychological assessments, and therapy for adults, teens, children, and couples, in person in NW Calgary and online across Alberta.

About Us

Solasta Counselling was founded on the belief that people deserve more than a waitlist and a generic approach. Our team of registered psychologists, provisional psychologists, and therapists brings together a wide range of specialities, from ADHD and autism assessments to trauma, anxiety, depression, couples counselling, and beyond, so that when you reach out, we can match you with someone who genuinely fits what you're going through. We work with people at all stages: adults navigating burnout, relationship strain, or longstanding mental health challenges; teens figuring out who they are; children who need support that actually reaches them; and couples who want to do better together. Our clinicians are trained in evidence-based approaches, including CBT, EMDR, DBT, somatic therapy, and Gottman Method, and we offer both in-person sessions at our NW Calgary location and virtual counselling throughout Alberta. We're also one of the few Calgary practices offering comprehensive psychological assessments for ADHD, autism, psychoeducational needs, and more, with registered psychologists on staff who can diagnose and provide formal reports. If you're not sure where to start, our free consultation call is a no-pressure way to figure out whether we're the right fit.

Approach

We believe good therapy starts with the right fit, the right therapist, the right modality, and a pace that works for you. Our clinicians draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, EMDR, DBT, somatic therapy, ACT, Gottman Method, and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, adapting to what each person actually needs rather than applying a one-size approach. We're direct without being clinical, and we take the time to understand the full picture before jumping to solutions. For assessments, we combine standardised testing with detailed clinical interviews and real-world context to produce reports that are genuinely useful, not just a score and a label.
