Ms Simi Mathew

Counseling Psychologist

I am a certified counselling psychologist, an intersectional feminist, an LGBTQI++ affirming practitioner, and a grounded empath who believes in the power of vulnerability and human connection. I hold space for clients to explore, feel, heal, and reclaim their sense of worth. I help individuals and couples find emotional balance while navigating anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, and major life transitions. My work is neurodiversity-affirming, with experience in ADHD, autism spectrum profiles, sensory and emotional regulation challenges. I offer a safe, confidential therapeutic space grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based care. My focus is on strengthening communication, deepening emotional clarity, and facilitating meaningful relational repair—supporting people to build stability, understanding, and long-term sustainable change.

About Me

I’m a certified counselling psychologist supporting individuals and couples as they navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, self-worth, and major life transitions. My work is grounded in compassion, confidentiality, and a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens.

Approach

I use an integrative, evidence-based approach rooted in CBT, Gestalt, DBT and existential work. Rather than imposing techniques, I focus on creating a safe, attuned space where you can slow down, reflect, and understand what is happening beneath the surface. Therapy with me is collaborative. We explore patterns, emotions, and the stories you carry and not to judge them, but to understand the needs, wounds, and strengths behind them. As clarity emerges, we work together to build practical tools and healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. My goal is to help you feel grounded, resourced, and more connected to yourself, so you can move through life with emotional balance, agency, and compassion for who you are becoming.
