Dr Sarah Quinley
Registered Professional Counselor
“I'm a UK-trained Doctor of Counselling and Psychotherapy (COSCA accredited, BACP registered), specialising in anxiety, identity, relationships, and cross-cultural transitions. I work online with individuals and couples using a warm, relational, and integrative approach.”
About Me
Living abroad can sometimes feel isolating, even amidst new experiences. I work online with adults and couples navigating a wide range of issues. My specialisation is helping those living overseas reclaim a vital sense of belonging and connection. We explore how to foster this, both within yourself and with others. Online sessions offer flexible, accessible support. They create a space where you can feel truly understood, wherever you are.
Approach
Adjusting to a new country often shapes how therapy unfolds: sessions are gentle, steady and attuned to the rhythms of your day-to-day, so change feels manageable rather than overwhelming. We meet in English online from my base in Madrid, using focused conversation, somatic noticing and practical reflections between sessions to work with anxiety, identity shifts, relationship strains and past hurts. Sessions move at a collaborative pace, blending curiosity with concrete coping steps. This way of working tends to suit adults and couples wanting grounded, lasting change.
