If you are thinking about working with me, you are probably not just looking for someone to give you techniques or quick fixes. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or worn down by patterns that keep repeating no matter how hard you try to change them. My role is to help you make sense of what is happening inside you and to support you in finding a steadier, kinder and more authentic way to live. I work with people who carry the impact of long term stress, trauma, difficult relationships, or early experiences that shaped how they learned to survive. This can show up as anxiety, low mood, emotional numbness, self criticism, relationship difficulties, addiction, or a feeling of not quite belonging anywhere. I do not see these as flaws. I see them as understandable responses to what you have lived through. In our work together, I take time to really understand you. We look at your history, your relationships, your nervous system, and the patterns that developed to protect you. When you understand why you feel and react the way you do, it becomes much easier to change those patterns without shame or force. I offer a calm, steady and non judgemental space where you can speak honestly and explore things that may have felt too difficult to look at before. I will listen carefully, reflect what I hear, and gently help you notice the ways you may be getting stuck. We work at a pace that feels safe for you, while still keeping a clear focus on growth and change. Over time, this work tends to help people feel more grounded, more emotionally stable, and more able to be themselves in their relationships and in the world. Many clients find they become less driven by fear or old wounds, and more able to make choices that truly fit who they are. If you are looking for therapy that is thoughtful, relational and deeply respectful of your story, I would be glad to work with you.

About Me

I work in a way that is calm, grounded and relational. When people come to see me, my first priority is to understand who they are, not just what they are struggling with. I create a space where you can speak honestly, feel what you feel, and explore your inner world without being judged, rushed or analysed from a distance. My approach is integrative and trauma informed. I do not see people as a collection of symptoms or diagnoses. I look at the whole person, including their history, relationships, nervous system, attachment patterns and the experiences that shaped how they learned to survive. Together we make sense of why certain thoughts, emotions and behaviours show up, so they feel understandable rather than overwhelming or shameful. I specialise in working with people who feel stuck, disconnected, or worn down by long term emotional pain, trauma, attachment wounds, identity struggles or treatment that has not helped. Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to manage or fix themselves. I help them develop a kinder, more honest relationship with who they are. In our work together, I balance warmth with clarity. I will meet you with compassion, but I will also gently point out patterns that keep you trapped, such as self criticism, avoidance, people pleasing or emotional shutdown. We work with these patterns carefully, so change can happen in a way that feels safe and sustainable rather than forced. My goal is not just to reduce symptoms. It is to help you feel more grounded in yourself, more emotionally steady, and more able to live and relate in a way that feels true to who you are. Over time, many people notice that they feel more confident, more connected to their body and emotions, and better able to handle closeness, boundaries and difficult feelings. People often tell me that working with me feels both safe and real. They feel deeply understood, and supported in doing the work of change in a way that is human, respectful and genuinely transformative.

Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma informed and deeply relational. I believe that the difficulties people bring to therapy are not signs of weakness or disorder, but understandable responses to what they have lived through. Anxiety, low mood, emotional numbness, relationship struggles, or self criticism are often ways the nervous system learned to cope when safety, connection or stability were missing. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I work with the whole person. Together we look at your history, your attachment patterns, your relationships, your body and nervous system, and the beliefs you formed about yourself and others. This helps us understand not just what is happening, but why it is happening. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I offer a calm, grounded and non judgemental space where you can explore your inner world honestly. I listen closely, reflect what I hear, and help you notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck, such as avoidance, people pleasing, emotional shutdown or harsh self criticism. We work with these patterns gently, so that change feels possible rather than overwhelming. I also place a strong emphasis on safety and regulation. When the nervous system feels more settled, it becomes much easier to think clearly, feel deeply and relate to others in healthier ways. This allows deeper emotional work to happen without becoming destabilising. My aim is not just to help you cope, but to help you develop a more secure, compassionate and grounded relationship with yourself. Over time, many people find they feel more emotionally steady, more connected to who they are, and more able to build relationships and a life that truly fits them. This kind of therapy is thoughtful, paced and deeply respectful of your story. It is designed to support real and lasting change, not just short term relief.

Basic Information

Services

I provide individual psychological therapy for adults who are struggling with the emotional and psychological impact of stress, trauma, difficult relationships, and long standing patterns that no longer serve them. My work is designed for people who want more than symptom management and are looking for meaningful, lasting change. I work with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, attachment and relationship difficulties, identity and self worth issues, emotional regulation, addiction and compulsive behaviours, and the effects of burnout, loss and major life transitions. My approach is integrative and trauma informed, drawing on attachment based therapy, depth oriented psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, and evidence based psychological models. This allows the work to be tailored to you rather than forcing you into a single method or diagnosis. Sessions focus on helping you understand how your experiences have shaped the way you think, feel and relate to others. We explore patterns such as self criticism, emotional avoidance, people pleasing, or fear of closeness, and work with them in a way that is compassionate and effective. I provide a calm, confidential and respectful space where you can speak openly and be met with care, clarity and professionalism. Therapy is collaborative, paced to your needs, and always grounded in safety and trust. The aim of my work is to help you feel more emotionally steady, more connected to yourself, and more able to build relationships and a life that reflect who you truly are, rather than who you had to become to survive.
