About Me
Approach
There are four approaches in psychotherapy: psychodynamic, behavioural, humanistic and systemic. I am integrative: I believe that each of four holds a partial truth. My integrative approach implies, in practice, adapting the therapy to the person, and not the person to the therapy.
My practice is evidence-based [
1
]. If research in clinical psychology has demonstrated something, in the last five decades, is that the therapeutic relationship [
2
], adapted to the patient [
3
], is more important than the model of intervention. My priority, therefore, is to provide you with a calm and secure environment in which you can feel understood and accepted. Adapting my practice, at the same time, to your situation, aim and personality.
In clinical practice, I integrate the existential-humanistic approach (especially person-centred therapy) and the contextual-behavioral approach (especially acceptance and commitment therapy) via the transtheoretical model [ 4 ] and the pluralistic model [ 5 ],

Services
Many people tend to suffer from anxiety, tension and anguish for too long before reaching for help. It takes courage to enter into therapy, and it takes courage to confront our problems. What I offer you is a calm environment in which, with total confidentiality, you will be able to deal with any difficulties you are experiencing with the professionalism that you deserve.
My name is Pablo, and I am a clinical psychologist chartered with the British Psychological Society and registered with the British Health and Care Professions Council, as well as a European Psychologist (EuroPsy) registered with the European Federation of Psychology. I completed my MSc and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the universities of Leiden, in Holland, and Roehampton, in London.
I practise primarily (but not exclusively) online, offering psychological care in both English and Spanish. I have practised as a clinician in several countries, working in centres and charities in and beyond Europe, and I have lectured and researched in academia.
You can easily book the first appointment with me by contacting me via email. I am an approved provider with BUPA, AXA, Cigna, WPA, and other UK insurers, as well as with Modern Health.
