Mrs Louange Davis

Counseling Psychologist

Licensed Psychologist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in child, family, group and couples therapy. Skilled in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based practice with dual expertise in psychiatric and medical social work.

About Me

I am a Counseling Psychologist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over ten years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across healthcare, judicial, and social service settings. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based care. I integrate CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR-informed techniques, somatic practices, and play and art therapy to help clients build resilience, emotional balance, and meaningful change. With a background in both psychology and social work, I offer practical, compassionate support tailored to each person’s needs. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen coping skills, and move toward healing and healthier relationships, one step at a time.

Approach

With a focus on safety and measurable progress, I structure sessions to be steady, paced and collaborative. Whether meeting in Port of Spain, Scarborough or online, appointments balance assessment, skill-building and space for processing. I combine brief symptom tracking, targeted coping strategies, family or couple check-ins, and protective planning, with practical tasks between meetings. People managing abuse, grief, adolescent change or burnout often find this clear, pragmatic approach helpful.
