Approach

Leo works from a Pluralistic perspective meaning his therapeutic philosophy is that no one way of therapy can work for all people all of the time. He works collaboratively with clients to identify their challenges, what they want from therapy and decide which therapy approach would suit best. Leo believes that the only way to know what a client wants is to ask them, so he considers client feedback and preferences invaluable. Leo is fully Trauma, Somatic and Neuroscience informed while always incorporating up to date evidence based best practices. He is also informed by a Multi-Cultural approach to therapy to ensure he does his best in understanding, and being considerate of, any biological, psychological and social factors influencing or impacting on a person’s life. Leo assures his clients that he will work to foster a therapeutic relationship that is safe, collaborative and non-judgemental which provides the foundation for working together to get what a client wants from therapy, grow, develop and flourish in life.
