Ms Laura McCarthy

Psychotherapist

ARE YOU FEELING ANXIOUS, ANGRY, DEPRESSED OR ARE YOU HAVING ISSUES IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP? If you’re interested in starting therapy, I offer trauma-focused counseling for individuals and couples aged 18 and over.

About Me

Feeling anxious, angry, or depressed can be overwhelming. If relationship issues are also a concern, I offer a supportive space. My trauma-focused Counseling helps individuals and couples aged 18+ navigate these challenges. We can explore difficult experiences together, working to process past events. This approach supports you in finding clearer ways forward and building greater emotional stability.

Approach

When anxiety, anger or low mood start to shape your days, I help you trace how past hurts show up now and gently test different ways of responding. In sessions in Ramsgate, Kent or online, we work at a steady, collaborative pace—sometimes exploring memories, sometimes trying practical grounding or communication experiments—and I’ll offer reflections between meetings to keep momentum. The work is focused, relational and safe, and tends to suit adults and couples who want to confront past pain and build more stable ways of relating.
