Dr Kaneeza Lafir

Clinical Psychologist

I am an experienced licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst working with children, adults, couples, families, & Veterans.

About Me

As an experienced licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst, I offer a dedicated space for children, adults, couples, families, and Veterans. I help clients explore the deeper roots of their challenges, fostering lasting change. We can work together to understand complex feelings and patterns, building resilience. My approach creates a supportive, reflective environment where all voices are heard. This can support your journey towards greater clarity and well-being.

Approach

Sessions start with gentle curiosity and focused listening, attuned to each person's history and current challenges to create a safe, collaborative way forward. I work from Norwalk and offer care in English and Sinhalese, both in-person and online, making continuity between sessions practical and accessible. Through careful assessment, reflective dialogue, and pragmatic interventions we track patterns, manage trauma-related symptoms, and support decision-making around relationships, career, or parenting. Those navigating loss, burnout, or complex family dynamics often find this steady, thoughtful pace useful.
