Ms Heidi Wichman

Counseling Psychologist

Therapy can be a daunting process to engage in. I am therefore committed to creating a space which is safe, empathic and non-judgemental. My aim is to support you in developing self awareness, developing coping strategies where required and improving your overall well-being.

About Me

Starting therapy can feel daunting. I offer a safe, empathetic space where you can openly explore your concerns without judgment. I will support you in developing self-awareness and practical coping strategies to navigate life's challenges. Using a collaborative approach, I also offer structured techniques like BWRT for focused change. This can be helpful for those seeking direct, evidence-based ways to enhance their overall well-being.

Approach

Recognising how daunting that first step can be, I focus on practical, collaborative work that quickly clarifies what matters most to you. Sessions in Cape Town or online are paced to suit adolescents and adults, blending gentle exploration with targeted techniques such as BWRT when focused change is needed. We notice small shifts week-to-week, approach traumatic material with care, and I suggest brief, doable practices to try between meetings. This way of working tends to help people who want compassionate support alongside clear, results-focused progress.
