Ms Heather Corringham

Registered Professional Counselor

If you'll give your car a check-up regularly, why wouldn't you give your mental health one? I believe in working with the individual in their context. I grew up in a multicultural country (Namibia) as part of a minority and work well with minority groups.

About Me

I offer a space where you can proactively explore your mental well-being, much like a regular check-up. We'll explore your unique experiences, especially if you identify with minority groups, always honouring your cultural background. My approach is grounded in your individual context, helping you navigate life's challenges with clarity and resilience. This can be a supportive partnership, ensuring your mental health is always a priority.

Approach

Picture therapy like routine care for your mind: sessions are practical and centred on how culture, identity and everyday demands shape your choices. I meet people in Hong Kong and online, working in English, and keep sessions steady in pace so younger clients, parents or busy adults can engage without overwhelm. We map patterns, use trauma‑sensitive pacing for painful memories, and try short between‑session experiments for anxiety, attention or mood shifts. This way of working often helps those navigating minority identity, past hurt or everyday stressors.
