Harun

Mr Harun Gachiri

Psychologist

I am an experienced, passionate and goal oriented psychological counselor who has a particular interest in working with the much stigmatized and discriminated population of people who suffer from mental illnesses and also addicts in specific. Community and individual empowerment are my biggest goals.

About Me

I am a psychologist and an Associate Counsellor based in Nairobi, Central Kenya. I help people affected by abuse, addiction, anxiety, conduct problems, and grief. I offer psychological and diagnostic assessment, group therapy, occupational therapy, and psychoeducation.

Approach

Many people I meet carry heavy stigma, so I use a straightforward, goal-focused approach that preserves dignity while building strength. Sessions in Nairobi are held face-to-face in English or Kiswahili, in a calm, structured space that moves at a steady, collaborative pace. We set clear, achievable goals, gather practical information to guide choices, practice coping and daily skills between meetings, and invite trusted family or community supports when helpful. This way of working often fits those seeking respectful, practical support to regain stability and purpose.
