Ms Gillian Hubick

Registered Social Worker

With almost 20 years in the field, I bring experience, skill and compassion to my work with individuals experiencing stress, emotional turmoil, shame and isolation in their present day lives, stemming from stress, relational trauma and neglect.

About Me

I am a Registered Social Worker with almost 20 years in the field. The first 3/4 of my career was spent in the field of children's mental health, supporting early years children and their families. Here, I learned the profound impact our early experiences on our sense of self, safety, connection to others and ways of viewing and interacting with the world, as well as the healing power of care and connection. In 2022, after 15 years in the Mental Health field, I founded Full Circle Counselling & Therapy Services. I am passionate about supporting healthy relationships (including our relationship with ourselves!) and wanted to create a safe space for clients where they could connect with like-minded, experienced professionals to find wellness, connection and healing. I am a mom to a busy, spirited boy who reminds me every day that parenting is rewarding but HARD and RAW. I am also a wife, pet owner and enjoy doing pottery and going for hikes in my spare time.

Approach

I am a certified EMDR Therapist, trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), IFS-informed EMDR and Circle of Security Parenting. My approach is non-judgmental, compassionate and geared to your own unique, individual needs.

Basic Information

Services

I work with youth, adults and parents. I specialize in relational/historical trauma (Including emotional neglect and bullying), inner-child work, self-compassion, self-esteem and parenting. I strive to support people to connect with all the parts of themselves that need attention and nurturing, so they can experience more clarity, confidence and a greater sense of calm. I also provide parent therapy (parent coaching and support), to help parents "get on the same page", explore potential solutions to challenges and help them better understand their strengths, needs and triggers in their parenting role.
