Mr Evgeni Karapenchev

Psychoanalyst

Verified

I help adults understand and change the emotional patterns that leave them feeling anxious, stuck, self-critical, or disconnected. Through psychoanalytic psychotherapy, we explore the deeper roots of these difficulties, creating space for greater self-awareness, more satisfying relationships, and lasting personal change.

About Me

Hi, my name is Evgeni (he/him), and I am a psychoanalyst and group analyst in private practice. I offer psychotherapy in person and online for adolescents and adults. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loneliness, and the lasting effects of challenging childhood experiences. I also support individuals exploring questions of identity, sexuality, and personal development. My aim is to provide a thoughtful and supportive space where clients can speak openly, reflect on their experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.

Approach

My work is grounded in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and informed by both classical psychoanalysis and psychodrama. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we explore the underlying emotional and relational patterns that shape your current experiences. Together, we pay attention to recurring themes in your relationships, emotions, thoughts, and life history, seeking to understand how past experiences continue to influence the present. I see therapy as a collaborative process based on trust, curiosity, and honest exploration. While I bring professional expertise, I regard each client as the expert on their own experience. My role is not to provide quick answers or advice, but to help create the conditions for deeper understanding and meaningful change. Over time, this process can lead to greater emotional freedom, a stronger sense of self, and a richer capacity for connection with others.
