Ms Emma Warren

Registered Counselor

Psychodynamic; Specialist in older clients especially those with dementia/Alzheimers

About Me

I offer a warm, understanding space for older clients navigating later life's unique challenges. My specialisation includes supporting individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer's. Using a psychodynamic approach, we can gently explore your rich life history and current feelings. This helps maintain your sense of self and navigate emotional changes with dignity and connection.

Approach

Psychodynamic work with older adults often unfolds slowly, attending to memories, moods and the small moments that reveal meaning. In Stansted and online I create predictable, calm sessions paced to your energy, where we use storytelling, gentle reflection and practical grounding to hold difficult feelings and shifts in identity. I may invite simple rituals between sessions or work with family when helpful, so day-to-day care and emotions stay connected to your history. This approach suits people seeking steady, respectful companionship through change.
