Durel Williams

Registered Social Worker

Competent, compassionate, collaborative social worker and psychotherapist working with individuals and families in a trauma-informed way.

About Me

I offer a compassionate and collaborative space for individuals and families to explore their experiences. Understanding how past events shape the present, I work in a trauma-informed way. We can gently explore difficult feelings, building practical skills and fostering resilience. This approach helps clients feel understood and find new ways forward.

Approach

Grounded in a trauma-aware stance, I focus on small, steady shifts that feel manageable. In North York or online, sessions are conversational and structured: we pause to name reactions, map patterns, practice coping skills, and agree on simple tasks between meetings. Assessments are used when helpful to clarify strengths and needs, and couples or individuals set goals together so therapy stays practical and relevant. People who want thoughtful, paced work that balances understanding with concrete tools often find this approach useful.
