Ms Debbie Howes

Clinical Psychologist

Hypnotherapetuc narrative approach to identify, reprocess and desensitize the underlying unconscious emotional patterns and belief systems.

About Me

Do old emotional patterns or beliefs keep you feeling stuck? I use a hypnotherapeutic narrative approach to gently explore these deeper influences. We can work to reprocess unconscious emotional patterns, helping to desensitise their impact. This approach helps you understand and shift long-held beliefs, fostering lasting change.

Approach

Sessions focus on gently accessing the deeper stories that keep old patterns alive, using guided imagery, focused dialogue and a steady, paced rhythm to help shift emotional charge. I offer appointments in Johannesburg and online, in English or Afrikaans, and keep sessions practical so we can try small, safe changes between meetings. You’ll find the work collaborative and slow enough to feel contained yet active enough to produce movement; people coping with trauma, grief or entrenched behaviours often find this way of working helpful.
