I am a BACP Registered & Accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist, originally from London I spent eight years in Nottingham where I qualified with an Advanced Diploma in Counselling in 2001. I offer in-person, telephone or online therapy, supervision and EMDR for groups and individuals. Please note that all in-person work is now carried out in Saltash, Cornwall. At times of high referrals I may use other qualified therapists for therapy, EMDR or supervision. In addition to being an Accredited and Registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I am a fully qualified EMDR practitioner including being qualified in group EMDR. I am also a licensed practitioner for NICE (National Institute for Health & Care Excellence) Counselling for Depression and a qualified Supervisor/Consultant (MA Consultative Supervision, University of South Wales), providing clinical consultation and case management to counsellors, psychotherapists and other professionals. I am familiar with and have had four years working with the Pre-Trial Guidelines for therapists supporting clients through the Criminal Justice System. I began my work as a counsellor at South Nottingham College, working with both the tutors and the students. Upon moving to the South West in 2002, I started working for the NHS in GP Practices across Cornwall and Devon, and I also began to see clients privately. I was the clinical lead for an organisation offering counselling in Plymouth and I now provide supervision and consultation to 4 other Plymouth businesses, for the University of Bristol Medical School and to Bath University. I am a specialist trauma therapist for the fire service and I train fire service staff in trauma, PTSD and vicarious trauma. I have my in-person private practice in Saltash offering emotional and psychological support to clients referred to me by their GP, EAP provider or by word of mouth and supervision and consultation to the NHS and other professionals. I am able to assist people in clarifying and accomplishing personal and professional goals and work with them on issues such as stress, abuse, anger, assault, confidence, self-esteem, anxiety, bereavement, panic, sexuality and relationship issues. For professional supervision and consultation for groups or individuals see Supervision & Consultation. I attend monthly group and individual professional supervision to monitor my work and I am a professional Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by their codes of ethics and practice and am subject to their disciplinary procedure. I hold full insurance for all my services.”
