Ms Ava Pouyandeh

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

A compassionate and dedicated psychotherapist supporting individuals with diverse concerns from various backgrounds through a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, intersectional, and collaborative approach.

About Me

I help individuals from diverse backgrounds explore their concerns. My trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and collaborative approach creates a safe, respectful space for your unique story. We work together to understand your experiences and find ways forward. This style is ideal for anyone seeking a truly understanding and non-judgmental environment to process challenges.

Approach

In sessions, I focus on practical conversations that notice patterns in your thoughts, feelings, relationships and day-to-day behaviour so we can make sense of what’s keeping you stuck. We work at a steady pace, naming difficult feelings, practising new ways of responding in the moment, and reflecting on how those choices show up between sessions. Between appointments I often support small experiments or simple tracking of habits so change unfolds through everyday steps rather than one big leap. This way of working suits people who want grounded, collaborative counselling for mood, anxiety, trauma or relationship concerns.
