Amy Shirley

Counseling Psychologist

I provide a warm, therapeutic and non-judgmental space in which to address challenges experienced in life, to provide insight and support.

About Me

I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you can bring any life challenge. We will explore your experiences together, cultivating insight and developing practical ways to move forward. My focus is on creating a supportive environment where all parts of you are welcome. This approach helps you gain clarity and feel more resourced as you navigate your path.

Approach

When we meet, the focus is on listening closely to your story and gently shaping practical steps together. In short, focused sessions in Knysna or online in English, I balance calm reflection with active problem-solving so we can notice patterns, try small experiments and adjust what isn’t working. Between sessions you may be offered simple exercises to practise new ways of relating to thoughts, emotions and others, keeping momentum without overwhelm. This way of working often suits people seeking steady, collaborative change.
