Dr Suzanne Carter

Psychotherapist

I have worked with children, families, and adults for decades as a communication and relationship therapist. I help clients identify and heal long-standing patterns that interfere with wholeness, meaningful connection, and living in alignment with their values and dreams. My work is informed by extensive professional experience and a deep understanding of the resilience required to move through life’s most difficult challenges. I offer therapy with compassion, clarity, and respect for each person’s unique path of healing and growth.

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and psychotherapist based in Loveland, Colorado. I work with children and adolescents who have experienced abuse, grief, and mood-related challenges, and I offer compassionate, developmentally informed support for healing and growth. My practice includes child and adolescent therapy, family and divorce counseling, couples therapy, EMDR, and psychodrama. I also provide spiritual direction for those seeking to integrate psychological healing with spiritual awareness and meaning.

Approach

I meet you where you are. Together, we explore the challenges that brought you to counseling and create a thoughtful, comprehensive plan to support healing and growth. I help you reconnect with your deepest and truest self, and then we gently address what may be standing in the way of expressing that self fully in your life. Along the way, I support you in identifying your inner strengths—the very qualities that helped you survive difficult experiences. As healing unfolds, these same strengths can be reclaimed and reshaped to help you thrive. When you are able to live as the ONE you came here to be, your life naturally becomes an expression of healing—not only for yourself, but for the world around you. Heal Your Life and Live Your Dreams is the name of my practice, and in just a few words, it reflects the heart of what I do.
