This page lists Female Psychologists in Porto. 10 in all.
That is 10 of the 15 psychologists listed in Porto.
These are practitioners who identify as female on their profile 1. We ask every therapist that question, and they may decline to answer. We do not check the answer, and nothing here is ranked.
This list answers an explicit request for a woman. While many people prefer this, we found no research on whether it changes how the therapy goes.
A client and a practitioner always differ; what matters is what that means to you and how you work with it 2. You can filter the same list by the languages a practitioner works in.
What a psychologist does, and where assessment fits in
Everyone on this page is listed under the professional title psychologist. Psychologists apply the study of the mind and behaviour to assist people through difficulty. Clinical psychologists work with people of all ages, with families, carers, teams and communities.
Assessment belongs to a psychologist's training, and sits alongside therapy. Clinical, counselling and educational psychology are different training routes. Each route emphasises different work.
Which titles are registered varies by country. Where the title is registered, the register says what it covers. Ask a psychologist which route they trained through, and what they work with most.
What this page filters on
These are the only filters: the practitioner's stated Female identity and the professional title psychologist.
The Porto page answers more questions about therapy there.
What these practitioners record
7 of the 10 have included their registration on their profile.
The areas of focus listed most often here are Anxiety (8), Relationship Issues (7) and Mood Disorder (5).
Sessions here are offered in Portuguese and English.
Who registers therapists in Portugal?
The title you will see is Psicólogo (Membro Efectivo). Search the register by name at Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP). A current entry is that body's own published record of the person.
A practitioner must hold that registration to practise legally in Portugal. See the Portugal page.

Real choice. Authentic, independent, clinician-led care.
TherapyRoute is a clinician-led directory that champions independent practitioners who answer to you and their professional ethics. We don't take commissions, sell your data, or assign therapists by algorithm. You browse, compare, and choose.
