About Me

I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist by the Portuguese Psychologists Order and holding a EuroPsy certificate. My primary specialization is psychoanalytic psychotherapy. However, I am also trained in other psychological approaches, including third-generation cognitive therapies, which enables me to adapt my clinical practice to diverse needs. I do In-Person Sessions in Lisbon, Porto and also Online Sessions.

Approach

Our therapeutic process mainly involves developing a therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe, welcomed and understood. Through this relationship, you will gain understanding of your anguish and we will work together to investigate your psychological conflicts, symptoms, causes, and the impact they have on your life. This understanding will allow for the establishment of important objectives for you and the creation of the best strategies to achieve them.

I am specialized in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (Psychodynamic).

I also use Third-Wave Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies with some clients, depending on their needs, namely - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
