❝Happiness is more than fleeting joy, it’s a blend of emotion, meaning, connection, and choice. Read on to understand the science of happiness and how to build it sustainably.❞
Happiness is a positive emotional state characterised by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment, and fulfilment. It encompasses both momentary pleasurable experiences and longer-term life satisfaction and well-being. Happiness involves positive emotions, engagement in meaningful activities, positive relationships, a sense of accomplishment, and meaning or purpose in life. While happiness can be influenced by external circumstances, research shows that much of your happiness depends on internal factors like your thoughts, attitudes, and behaviours that you can learn to control.
