My interest always lay in psychology, but when I expressed my plans to my family, I was met with resistance. With a heavy heart, I abandoned my dream of becoming a psychologist.

Following my family's decisions, I pursued a CA course for 5 years after my undergraduate studies, learning from some of the country's best CAs. Despite my efforts, I couldn't pass the exams necessary to advance my career.

In March 2017, I made a pivotal decision. I quit my current profession, undeterred by societal standards that labelled me unsuccessful. I reignited my passion for psychology and successfully passed a 3-level selection process, including an entrance test, a group discussion, and a personal interview, to get into college.

Standing up to my family for the first time marked a significant turning point. The two years I spent studying psychology were challenging, as my family did not support my choices. However, I was driven by the conviction that I was doing this for myself, not for anyone else.

The journey was fraught with doubt. I struggled to convince my family to let me study. I often wondered if I would succeed in completing the course, given that I was a late entrant to this career path.
