Turkey licenses health practitioners through the Ministry of Health. Doctors register with it, and psychiatrists are doctors. Clinical psychologists working in health settings register too.
A doctor's registration also runs through a regional medical chamber. The plain psychologist title is held to a looser standard, and the state keeps no register that answers for it. So a practitioner using that title can be asked which university awarded their degree.
Therapy fees in Turkey are set by each practice, so what a psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist charges depends on their qualifications, the length of the session and where they work. Therapists generally set what they charge with their own cost of living in mind. If the fee is beyond your means, ask about a sliding scale based on income, and look at community mental health services, university training clinics and group sessions, which cost less than individual ones.
