In Trinidad and Tobago no law licenses psychologists or psychotherapists, and no government register covers them. The Council of Professions Related to Medicine registers six other health professions; psychology is not among them. The practical check is the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Psychologists, whose full membership requires a qualification at Master's level or above.
Many reputable psychologists join, though membership is voluntary, not a legal requirement. So ask a practitioner about their qualifications and TTAP membership, not about a government licence, because none exists. Verify with Council of Professions Related to Medicine (CPRM).
