The list on this page is short, and it may not hold anyone who suits you. Two things below still apply. One is who is entitled to register as a therapist in this country. The other is what shapes the cost of a session here.
What therapy costs in Montenegro
In Montenegro the price of a service paid from compulsory health insurance is not set by the practice. A rulebook published in Sluzbeni list Crne Gore 042/18 sets the criteria. Prices follow staffing norms, service norms, the number of insured people and further set parameters.
The Fund publishes the resulting price lists, and the decisions that change them. Psychiatrists, child psychiatrists and psychologists work at primary level, in the centres of the domovi zdravlja. Those services count within a person's rights only where the chosen doctor orders or performs them.
The chosen doctor is called the izabrani doktor.

Who is allowed to practise
A law on psychological activity came into force in Montenegro at the end of 2024. The Chamber of Psychologists of Montenegro was founded under it soon after. The law asks a psychologist for a qualification at master's level, and for a licence from the Chamber. It makes the Chamber keep a register of the people it has licensed. That register is not published online at present.
The law also lets a client raise an objection with the Ministry.
