Everyone listed here works in one place. This page and that city's page hold the same people. You can filter for practitioners who work by video. Two or three enquiries is normal.
Latvia's Psychologists Law sets no charge to a client. Its fee sections cover what a psychologist pays to sit the certification examination. The National Health Service does pay for psychological and psychotherapeutic help.
A family doctor or a psychiatrist writes the referral, and sets how long the course runs. Clinical and health psychologists provide it. A person with a mental illness may go straight to a psychiatrist, with no referral at all.
Where a specialist works outside the state-paid system, the charge follows that institution's own price list.

Who registers therapists in Latvia
Latvia splits the answer between two registers, and which one applies depends on the title in front of you. A psychologist's standing is held by the State Education Quality Service, where registered status means practising under supervision and certified status means practising independently.
Ask which of the two a practitioner holds. Doctors and healthcare support staff sit in the Health Inspectorate's register instead. You can search the VIIS psychologists register, or check the Veselības inspekcija healthcare register.
Under the Psihologu likums a Latvian psychologist's certificate is issued in one named field, clinical and health psychology among them. Ask which field the certificate names.
Real choice. Authentic, independent, clinician-led care.
TherapyRoute is a clinician-led directory that champions independent practitioners who answer to you and their professional ethics. We don't take commissions, sell your data, or assign therapists by algorithm. You browse, compare, and choose.
