Ms Veronica Mastrangelo

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

A competent and compassionate Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist working predominantly with children and their parents but with adults too.

About Me

I offer a compassionate space for children, their parents, and adults to explore feelings and experiences. As a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I guide individuals to understand underlying patterns that may be causing distress. We can work together to make sense of complex emotions, fostering lasting change. This approach is ideal for those seeking deeper self-understanding and improved relationships, allowing for personal growth at your own pace. As a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist I am dedicated to understanding the complex emotional lives of infants, children, young people, families and carers in depth. My work focuses on looking beneath the surface of problematic emotions, behaviours or relationships and on helping children and adolescents, and their families, to understand themselves and their difficulties, and with that increasing/ enhancing emotional resilience.

Approach

Attention to the quieter patterns beneath behaviour shapes how I listen, respond and gently test ideas with children, parents and adults. In my Northampton practice I offer sessions in English and Italian and provide the same careful pace online, so families can choose what feels safe. Sessions often move between play, careful observation and reflective conversation, with occasional shared notes or suggestions between meetings to support everyday life. This way of working suits those seeking thoughtful, steady understanding and calmer relationships over time.
