I primarily work within a psychodynamic framework with a keen interest in interpersonal difficulties, bereavement, trauma, and father absenteeism.

About Me

From birth, we are faced with moments that have a profound impact on the ways in which we relate with ourselves, others, and our surroundings. Our many moments of nurture, and the varying painful lived experiences leave us with overwhelming emotions that shift the ways we show up in our lives. Sometimes these pockets of our lived experiences are made sense of with the adequate care and support, and sometimes they are left in the corners of our mind, not seen, but are felt as we carry the unconscious weight of parts of who we are. Psychotherapy is a space where we may find empathic understanding of who we are, in all our intricacies. As a psychodynamically-trained therapist, I seek to provide this space where we may explore and attempt to make sense of your lived experience together, in a non-judgemental and open-minded manner.

Approach

As a HPCSA-registered clinical psychologist, I primarily work within a psychodynamic framework which places empathy at the forefront. I believe in providing a safe space where one may make sense of their lived experience in a non-judgemental and warm manner. I provide individual, couples, and child play psychotherapy. Therapy is a space where we may spend time in making sense of who you are in a non-judgemental and open-minded manner. It is also a space that is for everyone, where the intricate parts of who you are can be thoughtfully understood.
