Approach

My approach to therapy is to firstly make my client feel they are in a safe, empathetic and non-judgmental space where they can share freely.

My training is largely psycho-dynamic in nature which means I will often look at my client's presenting problem in relation to them as a whole person who comes with a past history. Often when we look back we can understand why they are struggling presently and suggest different ways to cope in the future.

People I work with best

The main focus of my work is women. I am passionate about helping new mothers navigate the joys and trials of parenthood.

I enjoy helping all women through different life stages.

How to use psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

It's a space where, if you let yourself, you can let your defenses/ guards down and really get into contact with how you are feeling and thinking.

It may feel scary at first but if you stick with the process it will change you in deep and significant ways.

The importance of the therapeutic relationship

Building a good rapport with your therapist is crucial to your healing.

I encourage my clients to see me for 4 sessions and then after that decide if I am the right therapist for them.
