Sukriti Sabharwal

Professional Counselor

Counsellor (MPsych, NZAC Registered) with 10+ years’ experience supporting children, teens, and parents with anxiety, school challenges, family stress, and emotional regulation. Warm, play-based approach. Online and in-person sessions available. Based in West Auckland.

About Me

This counsellor offers a warm, supportive space for children, teens, and parents facing anxiety, school difficulties, or family stress. Their play-based approach helps younger clients express feelings and build emotional regulation skills. With over a decade of experience, they guide families to understand worries and find practical ways forward. Both online and in-person sessions are available.

Approach

My work often unfolds through gentle play, storytelling and short activities that let young people and parents practise naming feelings and trying small behavioural experiments. I offer face-to-face appointments in West Auckland and secure online sessions in English, Hindi/Urdu or Punjabi, so we can keep momentum between meetings. Sessions are practical and paced to each child or teen—parents and carers are invited to learn simple strategies, and I introduce mindful, hands-on tools for emotional regulation. This approach suits families seeking straightforward, supportive steps forward.
