Mr Stephen Queen

Registered Psychotherapist

I am a fully qualified Snr Accredited CBT psychotherapist who actively engages with clients to help challenge their problems to bring about meaningful change.

About Me

I believe therapy thrives when we actively work together. My approach as a CBT therapist involves truly engaging with your concerns, helping you explore and challenge the patterns that create difficulties. We will focus on practical steps, giving you clear strategies to move past problems. This collaborative way of working is ideal for clients ready to actively address challenges and create lasting, positive change.

Approach

Expect sessions to follow a clear, collaborative agenda that balances focused skill-building with space to explore difficult memories and emotions. Whether we meet from South Lanarkshire or online in English, I use brief assessments, behavioural experiments and short between-session tasks to test new ways of thinking and coping. Work is pragmatic and paced to your needs — for adolescents, parents and adults this often includes tailored exposure, emotion regulation practice and family or relationship-focused problem-solving. This suits people who want hands-on tools and steady progress.
