Life can feel overwhelming when stress, emotions, or health-related challenges begin to interfere with your ability to function, work, or feel like yourself. Many of the people we work with are capable, motivated individuals who nonetheless feel stuck—struggling with anxiety, low mood, burnout, trauma, chronic stress, or difficulty managing daily demands. At Snyder Psychology, we support clients by addressing both emotional wellbeing and day-to-day functioning. Through counselling and occupational therapy, we help you develop practical skills, improve regulation and resilience, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, manageable, and aligned with your values.

About Us

Snyder Psychology is a Calgary-based practice offering integrated psychological and occupational therapy services in a calm, professional, and collaborative environment. Our team includes registered psychologists and occupational therapists who work together to support both mental health and functional recovery. Working with us is structured yet compassionate. We take time to understand the full picture—emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and practical—so that support is tailored to your specific needs. Clients often appreciate our clear communication, goal-oriented approach, and focus on real-world application. Whether you are seeking counselling, functional support, or a combination of both, our team aims to provide care that is evidence-based, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful.

Approach

Our approach is integrative and client-centered, combining psychological therapy with occupational therapy principles when appropriate. From a counselling perspective, we draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed frameworks to support emotional regulation, insight, and behavioral change. Occupational therapy services focus on improving daily functioning, routines, cognitive and emotional capacity, and participation in meaningful activities, including work, relationships, and self-care. We pay close attention to lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress, workload, and health, recognizing their significant impact on mental wellbeing. Care is collaborative, practical, and paced to your needs, with an emphasis on skills, sustainability, and measurable progress.
